1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service and Purchase Terms (the “Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website cbtwithai.com and its related features (the “Service”), operated by CBT Without a Therapist (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, using the Service, or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the Service. You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service or make a purchase.
2. What the Service is
The Service is a self-help tool. It gives you CBT-based materials and features: a thought journal, exercises, courses, quizzes, and an AI guide called “Helpy.” These materials are educational and built for self-guided practice. The Service is not medical care, not therapy, and not a substitute for a licensed professional. Please read Section 9 (“Not medical advice”) before you rely on anything here.
3. Your account
To use parts of the Service, you create an account with your email address. You’re responsible for keeping your login secure and for everything that happens under your account. Let us know right away if you think someone else has accessed it. We collect and use your information as described in our Privacy Policy.
4. Pricing and payment
Full Access to all paid materials is a one-time payment of $29 (USD). This is a single charge, not a subscription — you will not be billed again, and there is no auto-renewal. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your purchase and is responsible for processing your payment, charging and remitting any applicable sales tax or VAT, and issuing your invoice or receipt. Your card details are entered with Lemon Squeezy and its payment processors; we do not receive or store your full card number. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy’s own terms, which are presented at checkout.
5. Access
Your agreement takes effect once your payment is confirmed. Full Access is unlocked automatically right after a successful payment and stays available for as long as the Service operates. We may update, improve, or change the materials over time.
6. Refunds
Full Access is a digital product, delivered in full as soon as your payment goes through. Because Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record, refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy. You may request a refund within a reasonable window — generally 14 days from the date of purchase for this digital product. If you didn’t receive access because of a technical issue on our side, or the materials weren’t available, you’re entitled to a full refund. To request one, contact us at support@cbtwithai.com with your purchase date and order details, or reach out to Lemon Squeezy support directly. Refunds are returned to your original payment method.
7. Acceptable use
The Service and its materials are for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don’t share your access with others, resell it, copy or redistribute the materials, or use the Service in any unlawful way or in a way that disrupts it for others. We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms.
8. Intellectual property
All content on the Service — text, exercises, courses, quizzes, design, and software — belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the materials for your own self-help. It does not transfer ownership. Anything you write in the journal or chat stays yours; see our Privacy Policy for how we handle it.
9. Not medical advice
The Service is a self-help tool that offers general educational information and CBT-based exercises. It is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a qualified healthcare provider. Using the Service does not create a therapist–client or doctor–patient relationship. We do not diagnose, treat, or cure any medical or mental-health condition. Always talk to a licensed mental-health professional or physician about your health, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you read or received here.
About Helpy (AI). Helpy uses AI to generate responses and exercises. It’s an AI guide — not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional — and its responses may be inaccurate or incomplete. Don’t rely on it for diagnosis, treatment, or emergency help.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee any specific result. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us for Full Access. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy, which covers what we collect (such as your account email, journal entries, chat messages, and quiz results), how it’s stored, and your rights to access or delete it.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date. If you keep using the Service after a change, that means you accept the updated Terms.
