1. Acceptance of these Terms
CBT Without a Therapist ("we," "us," or "our") operates the website cbtwithai.com, our web app, and related tools (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What the Service is — and what it isn't
The Service is a self-help tool built on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). It includes a thought journal, guided exercises, courses, quizzes, and an AI guide called "Helpy." Everything here is for general educational and informational purposes.
The Service is not medical care, therapy, or counseling. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or advice from a licensed healthcare provider. Using the Service does not create a therapist–client or doctor–patient relationship.
Helpy is an AI guide — not a licensed therapist, counselor, or medical professional. Its responses are generated by AI and may be inaccurate or incomplete. Don't rely on it for diagnosis, treatment, or emergency help.
3. Not for emergencies
The Service is not a crisis service. If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, get help right away. In the U.S., call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or call 911 if you or someone else is in immediate danger.
4. Eligibility
The Service is intended for adults 18 and older. By using it, you confirm that you're at least 18 years old.
5. Your account
You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Please provide accurate information when you sign up, and let us know if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
6. Payments, Full Access, and Merchant of Record
Some features are free. Full Access is a one-time purchase of $29 that unlocks the paid features — no subscription and no recurring charges. This is a one-time charge, and you won't be billed again.
Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy, our Merchant of Record. Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record for your purchase and handles billing, payment processing, invoices, and any applicable sales tax or VAT. Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's terms. We do not collect or store your payment card details.
7. Refunds
Because Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record, refunds are processed through Lemon Squeezy. We offer refunds for the digital product within a reasonable window of your purchase — generally 14 days — for good-faith requests. To request a refund, contact us at the email below or reach out to Lemon Squeezy directly.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, disrupt or interfere with its operation, attempt to gain unauthorized access to it or its systems, or use its content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
9. Intellectual property
The content, design, text, and software that make up the Service belong to us or our licensors and are protected by law. The entries you create in your journal belong to you — we don't claim ownership of your personal content.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will produce any particular therapeutic result. If your symptoms worsen, please talk to a licensed professional.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CBT Without a Therapist will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service or from decisions you make based on it. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
13. Governing law
